Jamaica Gunmen Leaves Ackee Walk In Darkness After Killing 4 Persons

three persons were shot and killed yesterday, and others injured during an Attack in the Ackee Walk community, in the vicinity of Queensborough Gardens, St Andrew.

As the news of the incident broke, there was speculation that four persons had been killed.

Residents say that about 8:15 p.m., an unknown number of men in a vehicle went around shooting up different spots in the community.

One alleged witness said that the barrage lasted for up to a minute. Another resident said that as many as 13 persons were hit by the gunmen.

Up to press time, the identities of the deceased were unknown.

 

Residents emotional following Ackee Walk murders last night

NOW: Ackee Walk, St Andrew residents reeling from last night's murder of three people and the injury of several others angered by a comment allegedly made by a policeman. "A long time dah boy deh fi dead," the cop is reported to have said in relation to one of the deceased. The injured remain hospitalised.
